Get an up-close opportunity to view this showcase of Minnesota’s finest artwork in person from Thursday, Aug. 27 through Labor Day, Sept. 7, 2020, in the Fine Arts Center on the State Fairgrounds.

This one-of-a-kind exhibition will feature hundreds of works by Minnesotans in eight classes of competition: oil/acrylic/mix media; sculpture; watercolor/gouache/casein/tempera; drawings/pastel; prints; ceramics/glass; textiles/fiber; and photography. Artists may make their pieces available for sale through the Minnesota State Fair Foundation.
Tickets for gallery showings are $10 each, sales tax included. Attendance will be limited to 25 percent of building capacity in order to follow social distancing and other health and safety precautions set forth by the Minnesota Department of Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. When purchasing tickets, guests will select a 90-minute time slot for their gallery viewing. Because of these safety precautions, we are not able to permit guests to enter or remain in the gallery outside of their selected 90-minute slot as noted on their ticket.
During this event, Minnesota State Fair staff will wear face masks, and the building will be properly cleaned and sanitized. In accordance with revised state health mandates, wearing masks will be required at this event. Please plan to bring your own mask.
When you arrive at the fairgrounds, enter through the main gate on Snelling Avenue and proceed directly to the Fine Arts Center. Free parking is available in nearby lots and on surrounding streets. Also note that restrooms will be located at the Admin Too building near the Snelling gate, two blocks from the Fine Arts Center.
