DESCRIPTION

Visitors can enter the museum with a Dine and Shop pass from 11:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m during regular museum hours. Please note the museum opens at 12:00 PM on Mondays, except those observed as Federal Holidays. In observance of Inauguration Day and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, a federal holiday, our museum will be closed on January 20, 2025.

Dine and Shop passes are released 7 days in advance at 8:00 a.m. EST on a rolling basis. Passes are not redeemable after 2:30 p.m.  Visitors can reserve up to 4 Dine and Shop passes per day.

This pass facilitates museum entry for dining in the Sweet Home Café and shopping in the museum store. Please limit your visit to these two locations.

We suggest that Dine and Shop passholders enter the museum from 14th Street and Constitution Ave.  You can also use the entrance on Madison Drive, NW.

Important Conditions The Smithsonian’s timed pass reservation system is for visitors’ personal use only, and Smithsonian timed passes are valid only for the stated visitor(s), guest(s), date, and time. Passes may not be sold or transferred. Reservations that violate these conditions may be cancelled.

If Sick, Stay Home.
We are asking all visitors who are sick or feel unwell to please stay home. Visitors are encouraged to wash and sanitize hands frequently during their visit. Hand-sanitizing stations will be available throughout our facilities.

Personal Belongings
We encourage you to limit the number of personal belongings and bags you bring into our facilities. Limiting the items you bring will increase your speed through security check points, helping us all maintain a safe social distance. Please note that we do not offer coat or bag storage at this time.

Many items are prohibited at all Smithsonian museums.

Do not bring sharp items into the museums such as knives (including pocket or "Swiss Army" style knives), screwdrivers, scissors, etc. Other items not permitted include firearms, pepper spray, and Mace.
