North Star Digital Learning Lab Office Hours

Join educators and North Star Digital Learning content creators for virtual office hours to explore digital materials and activities on African American history through the Smithsonian’s “North Star: A Digital Journey” Learning Labs. Designed for grades 6–12, these Learning Labs feature stories and throughlines from the National Museum of African American History’s exhibitions. Using images, documents, videos, and thinking questions, students and their adults can investigate and think critically about history.
During this series of virtual office hours, participants will meet the creators of individual North Star Digital Learning Labs and learn how to creatively implement ideas, activities and strategies in the classroom as well as gain familiarity with the free online resources of “North Star: A Digital Journey.”
