Valentine's Train

The Abilene and Smoky Valley Railroad presents its annual salute to “rail romantics” everywhere! Take the Valentine’s Express! This special dinner train leaves our legacy 1887 Rock Island Depot on Saturday, February 10 at 6:00 p.m. with a meal that you and your Valentine will love! Amanda Collins of Amanda’s Bakery and Bistro in Abilene is preparing your choice of chicken piccata (a sauteed chicken breast with a butter caper sauce) or roast pork loin with apple rum sauce. Either entrée is served with rice pilaf, vegetable medley, and a side dinner salad, with dinner rolls. And for dessert? Chocolate, of course! Tea, coffee, or water will accompany the meal. And as a special treat for your Valentine: The Abilene High School Special Choir will be offering special serenades. Love songs, a great dinner and a beautiful train ride through the Smoky Hill River Valley. Join us for romance on the rails on the Abilene and Smoky Valley Railroad!
