School Program

Looking for a wild experience for your students? The North Carolina Zoo offers various engaging educational programs for school groups visiting the Zoo. These programs enrich students' learning about animals, the need for healthy habitats, and the actions they take to help protect and preserve Earths' natural resources. If the date you are interested in is unavailable, fully booked, or not open to book yet, please don't hesitate to reach out by emailing schoolprograms@nczoo.org. By contacting us we can add you to our waitlist and will let you know if the date becomes available or new dates open up. It also helps us better know the demand for school programs. There are some pockets not shown on the calendar that we can fit in additional programs, so please don’t hesitate to reach out.

 

We have multiple discounts available for school groups. Please use the following codes if your school qualifies:

• TIER1 - If you are in a Tier 1 county as determined by NC department of commerce distress rankings. To check if you qualify visit https://www.commerce.nc.gov/grants-incentives/county-distress-rankings-tiers.
• TITLE1  - If you are a Title 1 school as determined by NC department of public instruction.

We will verify the validity of your use of coupon codes, and if we find you have incorrectly identified your school we will refund your payment and open the date back up. Please double check before using a code

 

Please note: scheduling your date will have you select a program time of 8:00 AM, as it is the only option. We will do programs at any time during school hours or zoo visitor hours and will contact you after you have paid to confirm logistics, including what time you would like the program. This will allow us to also check that your school is within 100 miles of the zoo and within 2 hours of travel time, confirm any discounts you may have used, and ensure details on our end such as location reservations.
