PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION
With a career in Irish music for 35 years, Altan has achieved legendary status in a genre that has been equally shaped by the band’s influence and genius. Audiences from Ireland to Japan to Australia to Europe have embraced their heartwarming, dynamic live performances and their exquisitely produced, award-winning recordings. Altan has over a dozen releases to date, ranging from the most touching old Irish songs to hard-hitting reels and jigs.
Adding to their long list of awards and honors, fiddler, singer and founding member Mairéad Ní Mhaonaigh was the recipient of the Gradam Ceoil/Traditional Musician of the Year in 2017. Though the band received the same award for Band of the Year in 2001, Mairéad was glad to be recognized on her own in a genre that has been slow to recognize female musicians. She is only the third woman in twenty years to receive the main award.
Throughout their career, you’ll find Altan’s unwavering commitment to bringing the beauty of traditional music to contemporary audiences, particularly that of the fiddlers and singers of their hometown in Donegal. Their new book publication, The Tunes (©2017 Altan), marks the first-ever printed collection of this instrumental music. Spanning thirty years, twelve studio albums and comprising 222 tunes across its 206 pages, the book delves into the history, folklore and the composers and musical heroes from whom the music was collected.
The seeds of Altan lie in the music and spontaneity of sessions in kitchens and pubs in their hometown of Donegal, where their music was heard in an atmosphere of respect and intimacy. It is here that the band’s heart still lies, whether they are performing on TV in Australia or jamming with Ricky Skaggs on the west coast of the United States. In spite of a hectic touring and recording schedule, Altan continue fresh in their vision of bringing the beauty and joy of traditional music to audiences everywhere, and have always promised themselves to continue as long as it’s fun — fortunately, it still is!

PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION
Over the course of their notable career, Canadian group Leahy has secured a place as one of the country’s most highly regarded progressive folk-roots bands. Their emergence on the Canadian music scene in the late 1990’s introduced audiences to a new way of accessing a uniquely Canadian music genre. The “Leahy sound” – a combination of strong stride piano, driving rhythm guitar, unique bass lines and layered with a contemporary drumming style – was the foundation from which wildly talented fiddle led instrumentals and vocals were launched to mainstream music listeners.
The Leahy siblings were raised on their family farm near Lakefield, Ontario, Canada. Each of the Leahy children learned to play the fiddle from their father, while their mother - who was raised in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia - taught them to sing, dance, and play the piano. As teens, the siblings performed across Canada and quickly became festival favorites. In the mid 1990s, a deal with Virgin Records saw their career soar in dramatic fashion. Their 1997 eponymous album, Leahy, seized the public’s attention, and extensive touring (much of it as the opening act for fellow Canadian Shania Twain) boosted the band to phenomenal sales of double platinum in Canada. The album also sold impressively in the U.S., Great Britain and Europe. Along the way, the group snared three Canadian Juno Awards, for “Best Instrumental Group” and “Best New Group” in 1997, and “Best Country Group or Duo” the following year.
To date Leahy has sold more than half a million albums worldwide. They have been featured in three PBS television specials - Leahy Live in Concert, Gael Force (with the Chieftains), and Leahy Live from Gatineau, Quebec - and are the subject of a 1985 Academy Award winning documentary, The Leahys: Music Most of All.
For Leahy there are no boundaries - the band’s genuine love of such a diverse range of music fuels their uncompromising creativity and, by refusing to be bound to the conventions of any one genre, they have forged a truly distinctive reputation. On the edge of another new chapter in their story, some things don’t change - the trademark Leahy experience LIVE. Leahy’s compelling career voyage has proven that a musical style defying easy definition can still find a world-wide audience.

Formed in 1969 in England, Wishbone Ash are one of the most influential guitar bands in rock history. Equally inspired by British folk, American jazz and R&B, the band did their part to help form the emerging rock ’n’ roll scene in the U.S. and the U.K. Through dedication to the craft of guitar harmony and melody, along with relentless touring, Wishbone Ash garnered a vast audience through public approval, critical praise and worldwide distribution of their extensive recording catalog. In 2023 the band, led by founding member Andy Powell (guitarist, lead vocals), marked the 50th anniversary of their biggest selling, multi-platinum album, Live Dates, with tours of Europe, North America and the United Kingdom. Reviewers have consistently listed it among the finest live rock albums of all time.
To celebrate the 50th anniversary, Live Dates was re-recorded in its entirety at Daryl Hall’s venue, Daryl’s House Club, in Pawling, New York on July 22, 2022. Andy Powell trades licks with Yorkshire’s Mark Abrahams, who has been playing Wishbone Ash tunes since his youth. Longtime bassist Bob Skeat keeps the low-end rocking, working the grooves with newest band member, Mike Truscott on drums. Like his band mate Mark Abrahams, Mike also hails from Yorkshire, England. As true warriors of the road, the band regularly covers around 30,000 miles a year, which is roughly equivalent to circumnavigating the world. The Ash is an undeniable force on today’s touring scene and they continue to be a beacon of musical excellence and a testament to the enduring power of rock 'n' roll.

PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION
According to Atlanta-based blues guitarist, singer and songwriter Tinsley Ellis, his new, first-ever solo acoustic album, Naked Truth, is both “a departure and an arrival.” Ellis has been recording and travelling the world for over four decades, delivering his feral, guitar-fueled, original electric blues-rock to ever-growing audiences at concert halls, festivals, and clubs. Naked Truth is steeped in the folk blues traditions of Muddy Waters, Skip James, Son House, Robert Johnson and even Leo Kottke. To the casual fan, this might seem to be a new direction, but for Ellis, it’s an extension of his music, as he taps into the raw essence of the blues.
On Naked Truth (his 21st album), Ellis swaps his blistering, guitar-fueled full band workouts for equally passionate, soul-searching acoustic folk blues. His famed guitar chops and musical creativity are on full display throughout the album’s 12 songs, including nine newly written originals. The album was recorded live in the studio using Ellis’ beloved 1969 Martin D-35 (a gift from his father) and his 1937 National Steel O Series guitars. Whether intricately fingerpicking the Martin or playing hair-raising slide on the National Steel, Ellis delivers each song with unvarnished intimacy.
Naked Truth is a revelation. Stripped of the electric fervor that defined his previous works, Ellis’ acoustic music carries a rawness that speaks directly from his soul. The songs unveil another side of Tinsley Ellis, but one that is totally recognizable to his fans. His gruff, full-throated vocals intertwine seamlessly with the bare, acoustic arrangements, creating an album that is both timeless and immediate.

PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION
Raul Malo is the incomparable frontman of genre-defying, GRAMMY Award-winning band The Mavericks, and the sole writer of many of their songs. His free-wheeling, swaggering style seamlessly blends neotraditional country, rock ’n roll, and Latin rhythmic fervor, and prominently features his lush, soaring baritone. His compositional craftsmanship includes penning progressive and timeless hits like “Here Comes the Rain,” “What A Crying Shame”, “Dance The Night Away”, “Back In Your Arms Again”, and “All You Ever Do Is Bring Me Down.” From his earliest days, when his raucous sound broke ground at the punk clubs on Miami Beach nearly three decades ago, to fronting The Mavericks on their 30th Anniversary World Tour, Malo has demonstrated an unfailing skill for getting people to groove.

Seth Walker is often cited as one of the most prolific contemporary Americana artists on the scene today. He’s a multi-dimensional talent who combines a gift for melody and lyric alongside a rich, Gospel drenched, Southern inflected voice with a true blue knack for getting around on the guitar. His new studio album, I Hope I Know, produced by Jano Rix of The Wood Brothers, and a string of singles, including “We Got This,” “Spirits Moving” and a cover of Bobby Charles classic “I Must Be In A Good Place Now” further build upon this reputation.

PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION
Singer/songwriter Eric Hutchinson is feeling nostalgic as he is celebrating the 15th anniversary of his debut album, Sounds Like This, touring and performing the album in its entirety. Sounds Like This ended up being a chart-topping album, but it almost never happened. Just before Eric recorded those songs, he says he was a frustrated kid who was seriously considering quitting music. But as discouraged as he was at the time, Eric says he hated the idea of telling his friends and family that he had quit music. Eric connected with some big-league producers and engineers and convinced them to work with him, and gathered a makeshift band of session musicians to record the tracks that are now well known to Eric’s listeners.Shortly after finishing the album, Eric moved to New York City in 2007 and continued making the rounds as a regular performer at small independent music clubs until his music miraculously ended up in the hands of Perez Hilton, the original celebrity social media influencer. Within 12 hours of Hilton posting Eric’s songs on his blog, they had gone viral and Eric was an overnight sensation, visiting radio stations by day and playing concerts by night.Today, Eric is a seasoned musician and touring artist who’s released eight albums, performed in all 50 states and experimented with diverse kinds of musical genres like pop, folk, reggae, alternative rock, and jazz. Still, more often than not, Eric says if people are familiar with his music, they know the songs from Sounds Like This.

PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION
ART OF ANARCHY is one of those rare bands that doesn't play by rules, except for the ones they break. “Compromise" and "playing it safe" are terms that don't exist in the band’s vocabulary. Pulverizing raw talent is what this band has always relied on along with artistic worlds of illusion and sound.
The band has entered into a Renaissance rebirth with a darker more sinister edge, that will reinforce the "anarchy" in ART OF ANARCHY. Original founding members Jon Votta (guitar), Vince Votta (drums), and guitarist Ron 'Bumblefoot' Thal (former Guns N' Roses / Sons Of Apollo) welcome the talents of vocalist Jeff Scott Soto (former Yngwie Malmsteen / Sons Of Apollo) and bassist Tony Dickinson (SOTO / Trans-Siberian Orchestra) into this new formation.
The band returns with their comeback album, Let There Be Anarchy, which is a reflection of a modern society. With epic songs pushing the eight-minute mark, listeners will be taken to places that they may already be, are going to, or can only imagine. With the band's new lineup, the next chapter in AOA has just begun!

Louise Bichan is a USA-based Scottish musician and photographer who uses both mediums to tell stories old and new. Growing up in the remote but culturally rich Orkney islands, a place where creativity abounds and playing music has been a part of the social fabric for centuries, gave Louise a solid grounding in music. Masterfully blending traditional and classical arrangements, her music is thoughtful, and complex, curious and playful. She composes in response to her roots and the world around her; weaving through stories of connection, to people, nature, the past and the possibility of the future.

PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION
Stereotyped early in his career as the quintessential angry young man, Graham Parker was one of the most celebrated singer/songwriters to emerge from England's pub rock scene in the early '70s. His band Graham Parker and The Rumour, originally his backing band of pub rock all-stars, began their career with their debut Howlin’ Wind in 1976, which led to a cult-like following of devoted fans. After delivering Squeezing Out Sparks in 1979, which was a smash with critics and won him a larger audience in the United States, Parker courted a crossover career with solo projects such as 1982's Another Grey Area and 1985's Steady Nerves and he has been touring solo ever since.
Parker unexpectedly reunited his original backing band The Rumour in 2011, in part due to the intervention of longtime fan and filmmaker Judd Apatow, who made the group a plot point in his film This Is Forty. After appearing in the movie, the group recorded an album of new material, Three Chords Good, which arrived in November 2012. Parker and The Rumour took advantage of their new place in the spotlight by touring America and the UK, but shortly thereafter The Rumour reunion came to an end. Parker has been touring his solo acoustic show since 2017, and recently had a new song, “Love Comes,” placed in the Judd Apatow produced and directed HBO show Crashing.
