The Dunn Center

On Saturday, September 21^st The Dunn Center will be presenting two shows that will teach children about science (Diggery’s Dino Adventure) and Steam subjects (Aliens Alive Space Show).

This show will use puppets, interactive animation, and music to cover these very important subjects in a fun and creative way. 

There will be a food truck available after the first session and after the break the audience will return to the Minges Auditorium for the second session.  Both shows cater to children in elementary school.

Rocky Mount is alive with “The Sound of Music”. Spend an evening with the Tar River Orchestra as we perform beloved classics from the musicals of Rodgers and Hammerstein, including South Pacific, Carousel, Oklahoma and The Sound of Music. This promises to be “Some Enchanted Evening” as we bring to life some of the greatest music from the golden age of the American Musical Theater. Also, on the program will be music written by Richard Rodgers for the post WWII television documentary “Victory at Sea”, as well as our young artist concerto competition winner, violinist, Stephanie Suedbeck.

This will be the second Bob Ross exhibit in North Carolina, but still the largest exhibition ever seen under one roof globally. Open to the public.
