    With music and words specifically chosen for this occasion, the RCO honors Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in this annual tribute.  Guest performances include Beverly Cosham and students from Al Fatih Academy.

    This concert includes popular American film classics, selections from Copland that evoke the vast American landscape and pioneer spirit, and Rhapsody in Blue, a key composition that defined the Jazz Age, featuring guest piano soloist Mark Irchai.

    We will finish the RCO concert season with back-to-back Sibelius compositions: the triumphal Symphony No. 3 and Finlandia, a tone poem.  Another tone poem, Saint-Saens’ Le Muse et la Poete features solos by RCO Concertmaster Sarah Calderon and principal cellist Kurt Usowski.
