    PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION
From stoner-boy to country-boy, blue-boy to a golden-voiced-man, Boy Golden has embodied them all. Now, as our guide, Boy Golden leads us through this next experience with kindness and humour, straight down Highway 5 and headlong into For Eden. Ten stories told from his heart, his dreams and his real life, For Eden is about searching for things — like dreams, love and better versions of himself, all wrapped up in some idea of a perfect place, be it real or imagined. But Paradise isn’t an outer realm; it’s the peace Boy Golden’s found within. Since his debut, Church of Better Daze (2020), Boy Golden has been immersed in the journey: one where he’s traveled inward towards himself and the other traversing the observable world. Touring for hundreds of days, spending time at home in the studio alone or with friends, Boy Golden has been writing, writing, writing. From the lyrics, to the music, to the accompanying behind the scenes stories and newsletters, Boy Golden’s honesty and clarity are magnificent. At times they magnify small wells of sadness, bringing forth the tears; other times they widen smiles, decimate guilt and fear, and others still, his songwriting eases the boundaries between folk, bluegrass, Americana and pop music. A compass and a lighthouse, a roadmap and a set of postcards, For Eden forms a neat collection of experiences, remembered with tenderness and beauty. It serves as a travel companion for others on their respective journeys. It’s nice to have someone along for the ride — and someone waiting for you at home. If home is where Boy Golden’s heart is, be it in the big city, tiny town, on the road or on a record, For Eden beats solidly, passionately, emphatically for a life and for love in the moments we have.

    PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION
Ian McConnell is a a singer-songwriter by day, goofy social media personality of moderate notoriety by (also) day, and sleepyhead by night, McConnell has been referred to as “Kroger-brand Ed Sheeran,” and a “sexy Kermit The Frog” by a vocal minority of his 600k+ Tiktok and 230k+ Instagram followers. Though McConnell spent the last few years attempting to be a country musician – a hilarious undertaking (in hindsight) for a suburban-DC math/cello major with no rural life experience – he has now abandoned that endeavor (for reasons obvious to anyone who has read this sentence) in favor of a nebulous Taylor-Swift-meets-Bo-Burnham vibe. His inability to delegate has led to Ian writing, producing, mixing, and mastering all his own music, which has been streamed over 23 million times across the platforms of our gargantuan corporate overlords.

Ollie Gullick, a British artist based between London and Boston, weaves his diverse life story into music. At 14, he moved from his hometown of Great Bookham to Abu Dhabi, where he completed high school. This dramatic change allowed him to experience something infinitely different from the sleepy suburbs of Surrey and opened his eyes to the vastness of our world. However, as he came to terms with his identity as a gay man, it also came with many challenges on top of all of those faced simply growing up.

At 18, he moved to Boston to pursue his dreams at Berkle and has since made waves in the local music scene with his band, The Lads. With high-energy performances, intricate songwriting, and the release of his debut EP, Forget About Me, his music promises a captivating blend of tales encompassing identity, transition, and the complexities of modern life.

    PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION
Luna Li is more than a musical project. It's a world unto itself, and a kingdom of its creator's making. For the Korean-Canadian, Toronto-based multi-instrumentalist songwriter, composer, and producer Hannah Bussiere Kim, the universe of Luna Li is hyperlush and inclusive by design. It's an evolving, musical transmission that takes its cues from nature's healing properties to explore vulnerability and identity. A blend of indie rock and psych; where experimental neoclassical morphs into pristine pop, Luna Li is the sound of an everyday symphony, crafted from the perspective of the female gaze. When the pandemic started, Li started self-recording instrumental interludes as a radical form of care. By letting others into spontaneous moments of creation, she made her process transparent and communal. Her self-recorded "jams" — video snippets of her constructing beats piecemeal — went viral many times over, racking up over 8 million streams and producing a fiercely loyal following. Its resulting self-titled EP garnered widespread acclaim ("Why aren't people queuing up to buy beats from this person?," asked The Needle Drop's Anthony Fantano.) and led to coverage in Fashion, Paper Magazine, i-D and a slot opening for Japanese Breakfast. In 2021 Li performed on the main stage of 88rising's "Head In The Clouds" festival, and in 2022 was selected as one of NME's Top 100 Emerging Artists. Luna Li's debut record Duality (featuring Jay Som, Dreamer Isioma, and beabadoobee) wrestles intimate, otherworldly questions to the ground in order to better understand the collective. Capable of both detonating an incendiary riff, or slipping into the splendor of celestial strings, the album's power lies in its most delicate moments. "Each song on the album has some element of light and dark," Luna Li says. "Where there's happiness there's still uncertainty; where there's anxiety there's also beauty; and where there's tension there's freedom."

The 25-year-old burgeoning young artist is best known for exploring serious themes without taking herself too seriously. Bearing resemblance to the sonic qualities of female icons Phoebe Bridgers and Japanese House, Holliday’s songwriting is a unique intersection of sad vibes, introspective lyricism, and modern pop-sensibility. Holliday attempts to examine her external world as a skeptic — not a cynic — and her internal world with honesty — not cruelty. By way of the journal entries that she calls her songs, Holliday invites others to do the very same.

    PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION

You can find Julius Rodriguez in many places. You could walk into a packed jazz haunt and witness him behind the piano with energy practically surging from his fingers through the room. You might scroll up on social media and catch him alternating from drums to bass to guitar at the speed of a jump cut. You may also step onto festival grounds and see him solo or accompany another like-minded visionary on stage, jamming like his life depends on it. No matter where, the New York-born and Los Angeles-based multi-instrumentalist, composer, and producer electrifies any lane. By doing so, he also transcends perceived boundaries between genres and styles, redefining the music to mirror his fluid creative inclinations and delivering a sound that's solely his alone.

Following widespread applause from The New York TimesVanity FairThe FADER, and more, collaborations with everyone from Wynton Marsalis to A$AP Rocky, and tens of millions of streams, he grows in as many directions as possible on his second full-length offering, EVERGREEN.

Rodriguez has established himself as a highly sought-after collaborator — whether on piano, drums, synths, or bass. You could hear him loud and clear on recordings from Carmen Lundy, Lackecia Benjamin, Brasstracks, Kassa Overall, Baby Rose, Joe Farnsworth, Cautious Clay, Ian Isiah, and Braxton Cook. Moreover, he has shined on stage with the late Roy Hargrove, Remi Wolf, Dev Hynes, Lauren Spencer-Smith, Macy Gray, Kurt Elling, Gabriel Garzón-Montano, Morgan James, and Cautious Clay, to name a few.

By breaking boundaries with EVERGREEN, Rodriguez has lived up to the true spirit of jazz by ushering it toward the future freely. "I hope you hear this and forget about the whole genre labeling thing," he leaves off. "This is just music you can dance to, feel to, and think to. It's not about categorizing; it's about enjoying something for what it is. EVERGREEN goes through a whole bunch of genres, but this is the world I'm seeing and hearing. This is the feeling I'm invoking. I made a statement and said, 'The genre is just me.'"

    PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION
After five months of not picking up an instrument, The Dead Tongues’ Ryan Gustafson wanted to get rid of everything that was tied to his identity as a musician. He even thought about changing his name. He was getting ready to throw out old notebooks packed with years of material but, for some reason, he decided to stop and go through them, just to see if there was anything worth saving. And sure enough, he found some images and lyrics, threads from former selves he didn’t want to lose. Thus was the catalyst for Dust, his fifth and best album as The Dead Tongues. Gustafson recorded Dust in nine days, the fastest he’d ever recorded anything. It was the fastest he’d ever written anything, too – in the past, writing a song would take months, but this time he somehow felt freer, and wanted to have fun. The record was recorded at Sylvan Esso’s studio, Betty’s, in the woods of Chapel Hill, North Carolina. He built it out with help from a number of his musician friends - Joe Westerlund (Watchhouse, Megafaun, Califone) on drums, Andrew Marlin (Watchhouse) on mandolin, backing vocals from Alexandra Sauser-Monnig and Molly Sarlé of Mountain Man, among others. Dust is meant to be listened to while taking a night drive, farflung and roving and existential. Somewhere between the expansiveness of American jamband and the banjo-centric folk songwriting of Gustafson’s Appalachia home. Gustafson explains the thematic throughline succinctly: “It’s this idea of uprooting and rebirth and cycles, and the past informing the future, and the future informing the past. There is no single story. Everything is connected.”

It wasn’t until he opened up to a friend at a pool party with a new composition, he was encouraged to hone in his sound. Conrath immersed himself in the recording process with reckless abandon. Since making his debut in 2020, his distinctive brand of hook-laden indie-pop has become a viral sensation on Spotify landing on influential playlists virtually overnight. Landon’s authentic, off-the-cuff style has resonated with listeners around the world, amassing millions of streams.

Infinity Song is a Soft Rock band based in New York City comprised of 4 siblings, Abraham, Angel, Israel, and Momo Boyd. With a blend of tight vocal harmonies, dreamy lyricism and sublime guitar riffs, the band creates a transcendent experience for the audience on every stage and in their recorded music. Homeschooled academically and musically, along with their 5 other brothers and sisters, by parents who founded the Boys & Girls Choirs of Detroit, the siblings have performed in front of audiences since Pre-K. They were raised on classical, gospel and jazz, like Pat Methany, Marvin Gaye, The Winans Family and many others. Infinity Song’s journey was a labored yet adventurous climb. In 2006, the Boyd patriarch, John Boyd, relocated the entire family from Detroit to New York and they began performing publicly all around the city. Singing at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in the morning, on 5th Avenue in the afternoon and Times Square at night, eventually Central Park’s Bethesda Fountain became a permanent stage for the next 12 years of their lives. After several years of developing a following and turning casual park visitors into loyal fans, the group was introduced to Jay-Z. In 2016, the band was signed to Roc Nation by Jay-Z, who advised them to not conform to the label’s artistic culture, but rather allow Roc Nation’s artistic culture to catch up to them. 4 years later in 2020, the siblings made a giant splash with their debut album “Mad Love” and several viral videos that amassed millions of views across all social media sites, garnering attention and support from some of Hollywood’s biggest names. Infinity Song is currently reeling from the reception of their now viral single, Haters Anthem, that is being released ahead of their next project. With over 200 million people having heard the song, an endorsement by popstar Doja Cat, and a number of press write ups, the catchy single is making waves all around the world. Even leading many listeners to compare the band to legendary 70s groups such as Fifth Dimension, The Mamas and The Papas, and ABBA. With this amount of excitement surrounding their next project, Infinity Song is ready to continue to solidify their place in the space where great music is being created in today’s culture.

    PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION
Ontario-born indie-folk artist Ken Yates has a penchant for saying what the rest of us are thinking. Cerulean, his latest album, finds Yates at his darkest and most vulnerable - "the worst pain comes with no bleeding" he writes - as he explores the complicated reality of navigating the world through half-clenched teeth. Yates' "earworms of sadness" have gained him a new legion of fans, who, drawn to his "stunning candidness and relatability" (No Depression), have shared numerous fan covers on social media and helped spur a dedicated surge of audience growth. The new album found great success at streaming, where songs were shared on playlists including "Your Favorite Coffeehouse," "Infinite Indie-Folk", "Fresh Folk," and more. Guest vocalists Kathleen Edwards, Katie Pruitt and Stephanie Lambring lent their talents to the new songs, produced by Ottawa's Jim Bryson. With praise in FLOOD, Atwood Magazine, NPR Music Live Sessions, and two Canadian Folk Music Awards under his belt, Yates has expanded his touring in recent years, supporting acclaimed artists including Passenger, Kathleen Edwards, and Stu Larsen, as he brings his "lyrical vessel of yearning and emotional reckoning" (FLOOD) on the road.

    PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION
Emotions make a mess. It's not the kind of mess you can just shove under the bed either. Carol Ades isn't here to help you scrub out the mess until you can't see it anymore. Instead, she's here to help you celebrate it, learn something from it, and move on confidently because of it. The New Jersey-born and Los Angeles-based artist, singer, and songwriter wants to empower you, but she's going to keep it real too. Carol dedicated her whole life to music and even had a few brushes with major success on stage and behind-the-scenes. Following a bad breakup, she turned inward and wasn't afraid to get raw in 2018. Under the influence of everything from the series Fleabag, Greta Gerwig, Elizabeth Gilbert, and Glennon Doyle to Japanese House, MUNA, and Phoebe Bridgers, she began to write her own "coming of age" story. Ironically, the first song of this phase ended up in the hands of two other artists, becoming "Past Life" for Trevor Daniel and Selena Gomez. With the onset of quarantine, she wrote for herself at a prolific pace, making emotional lyric-driven songs "you can scream to or sob to in your car." You'll find she's a lot like the friend who lets you cry on her shoulder, but still tells it like it is when you need to hear it the most, holding your hand through the mess with timeless music of her own.
