Ever dream of being in the bright lights? Are you always the center of attention? Want to learn how to speak with confidence to large crowds or events? The Richmond Funny Bone is the place to take your first steps towards doing what you have always knew you could do… Stand Up Comedy! 

Your head instructor for this course is Tim Loulies. Tim is a professional working Comedian that has performed at the legendary Apollo Theater in Harlem, Los Angeles Comedy Store, Hollywood Improv, MGM Grand Harbor, featured on XM Satellite Radio & the Washington Post, has worked with 4 cast members of SNL, 5 WWE Hall of Famers and such names in the world of comedy as Guy Torry, Bruce Bruce, Ron Funches, Roy Wood Jr. and the late great John Witherspoon.

In this 6 week course, Tim will teach you the core basics of Stand Up Comedy including writing, stage presence, how to construct & perform a set, audience interactions, emcee/hosting skills and insights into the business side of funny. All of this culminates into your very first performance, at our Graduation Show, right here at THE premier comedy club in the state of Virginia, the Richmond Funny Bone!

About the Artist:
Craig Conant is sober now despite the look on his face. Born in Los Angeles to a Mexican mother and an angry White father, growing up there was a lot of baseball and illegal fireworks. Recently he was selected by the prestigious “Just For Laughs” Comedy Festival as a New Face. He has appeared on MTV’s Next, and Greatest Party Story Ever Told. Craig has won acclaim for his unique voice and has done voiceover work on cartoon Court Ordered as Skeet William Cole. In the Stand-Up Scene Craig has quickly made a name for himself while sharing the stage with his friends, Bill Burr, Bobby Lee, Theo Von and Michael Yo. Zainab is currently a series regular on the Amazon Original hit series titled UPLOAD from Greg Daniels, she is one of the hosts for Netflix’s show 100 HUMANS, and starred as Dr. Hanniel in the brilliantly written web series AVANT-GUARDIANS. Elizabeth Booker Houston is a comedienne who hails from Memphis, Tennessee and now calls the DC metro area home. She has performed at venues such as the Lincoln Theater in DC and the DC Improv, and headlined at the DC Comedy Loft as well as West Side Comedy Club in NYC. She has worked with comedians such as DL Hughley, Atsuko Okatsuka, Chaunté Wayans, and Torrei Hart. Originally from Baton Rouge Louisiana, Malik now has millions of followers and viewers across social media platforms with his hilarious and viral sketches as multiple "toxic" but relatable characters. He was a featured comedian for OnlyFans LMAOF comedy series, and All Jokes Aside. He recently released his debut comedy special with Comedy Dynamics, Who's Ya Homegirl, streaming on Amazon. Stand-up comic, actor, and Emmy-nominated writer Sam Jay can currently be seen as the host of HBO’s Pause with Sam Jay, a weekly late-night series on which she also served as executive producer. Sam’s next stand up special, Sam Jay: Salute Me or Shoot Me, will premiere on HBO on September 23rd.
She can currently be seen in her stand out role opposite Jonah Hill, Eddie Murphy, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus in the Kenya Barris-directed feature film, You People, now streaming on Netflix.
