About the Artist:
Shuler King, the world’s only comedian, actor and licensed funeral director, has taken the world by storm through his hilarious, real, and relatable videos commenting on everything that’s happening on the internet and in pop-culture. An accomplished stand-up and performer, King had to adapt during the pandemic and started broadcasting his thoughts from his car instead of from a comedy club stage. He quickly resonated with audiences and amassed a following of over 2 million fans across platforms with millions upon millions of views. King now tours nationwide to sold out audiences and is one of the most energetic rising comedians in the business.
King was born Frank Williams III in Sumter, South Carolina. He knew at an early age that he was destined to be an entertainer especially since he was the kid known for cracking jokes. King grew up in a traditional 2-parent household in the Bible Belt of the South, where Faith, Hard Work and Education were the foundations of what his parents imparted on him and his two siblings. Comedy is his passion, but he has taken a rather unusual path to get to where he is thus far. He graduated from the University of South Carolina with a B.A. in Media Arts where he joined The Mighty Illustrious Zeta Zeta Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated. In 2013 he graduated from Gupton Jones Mortuary College with a degree in Mortuary Science. When he isn’t on the road performing at comedy clubs and special events across the country, King works as a licensed funeral director and embalmer in Georgia and South Carolina at his family’s funeral business in South Carolina.
Credits include WILD N OUT and the features HALLOWEEN KICKBACK, A DEGREE BUT NO DOLLAR, and A STRIPPER IN CHURCH.

Ever dream of being in the bright lights? Are you always the center of attention? Want to learn how to speak with confidence to large crowds or events? The Virginia Beach Funny Bone is the place to take your first steps towards doing what you have always knew you could do… Stand Up Comedy! 

Your head instructor for this course is Tim Loulies. Tim is a professional working Comedian that has performed at the legendary Apollo Theater in Harlem, Los Angeles Comedy Store, Hollywood Improv, MGM Grand Harbor, featured on XM Satellite Radio & the Washington Post, has worked with 4 cast members of SNL, 5 WWE Hall of Famers and such names in the world of comedy as Guy Torry, Bruce Bruce, Ron Funches, Roy Wood Jr. and the late great John Witherspoon.

In this 6 week course, Tim will teach you the core basics of Stand Up Comedy including writing, stage presence, how to construct & perform a set, audience interactions, emcee/hosting skills and insights into the business side of funny. All of this culminates into your very first performance, at our Graduation Show, right here at THE premier comedy club in the state of Ohio, the Virginia Beach Funny Bone!

About the Artist:
Craig was the standout “Unrepped New Face” at the prestigious Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal. He was born in Los Angeles to a Mexican mother and an angry white father growing up with a lot of baseball and illegal fireworks. Conant is now sober, (despite the look on his face), and recently appeared on MTV’s “Greatest Party Story Ever Told” where he received accolades for his unique comedic voice. He has a hugely successful podcast entitled “Community Service” and was also recently fired from Trader Joe’s, come find out why!

About the Artist:
Justin Whitehead is a professional comedian and entertainer. A native of South Georgia, Whitehead was born and raised in Desoto, a rural, tight-knit community with a population barely over 700 people. He was raised by both parents, alongside 4 siblings and has always bared witness to hard work and ambition. Growing up, he didn’t intend to go into comedy, but his peers always recognized his natural sense of humor and vibrant energy he brought to every room. After non-stop encouragement from his peers and community, Justin performed at countless local shows and was met with rave reviews.

Elizabeth Booker Houston is a comedienne who hails from Memphis, Tennessee and now calls the DC metro area home. She has performed at venues such as the Lincoln Theater in DC and the DC Improv, and headlined at the DC Comedy Loft as well as West Side Comedy Club in NYC. She has worked with comedians such as DL Hughley, Atsuko Okatsuka, Chaunté Wayans, and Torrei Hart. Stand-up comic, actor, and Emmy-nominated writer Sam Jay can currently be seen as the host of HBO’s Pause with Sam Jay, a weekly late-night series on which she also served as executive producer. Sam’s next stand up special, Sam Jay: Salute Me or Shoot Me, will premiere on HBO on September 23rd.
She can currently be seen in her stand out role opposite Jonah Hill, Eddie Murphy, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus in the Kenya Barris-directed feature film, You People, now streaming on Netflix. She can also be seen on the Peacock series Bust Down, which she co-created with co-stars Langston Kerman, Jak Knight, and Chris Redd. Sam is a two-time Emmy nominee and WGA award nominee for her writing on Saturday Night Live. In 2018, she wrote for The 70th Primetime Emmy Awards and the MTV Movie & TV Awards, and in 2020 she wrote for the BET Awards. Sam was named as one of Variety’s 10 Comics to Watch in 2018, and a Comedy Central Comic to Watch in 2015.
Earlier this year, Sam was named a BET Her Awards Pride Honoree. Sam was recently featured both on and off camera as the “Voice of God” announcer at the 2022 74th Primetime Emmy Awards on NBC. Earlier in the same year, Sam recorded a set as part of Netflix’s Stand Out: An LGBTQ+ Celebration, along with Margaret Cho, Sandra Bernhard, Billy Eichner, and Eddie Izzard—now streaming on Netflix. In 2020, Sam debuted her first one-hour stand up special Sam Jay: 3 in the Morning on Netflix. In 2019, Sam made her Netflix debut on The Comedy Lineup and released her album Donna’s Daughter through Comedy Central Records. In 2017, Sam was a standout of the Just For Laughs: New Faces showcase; made her late night debut on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live!; and released her Comedy Central Presents half hour to rave reviews. Sam has performed internationally at comedy clubs and festivals including the Vodafone Dublin Comedy Festival, Bumbershoot Festival, 208 Comedy Festival, New York Comedy Festival, Portland’s Bridgetown Festival, The Laugh Your Asheville Off Comedy Festival, Boston’s Women In Comedy Festival, among others.
